
TARABA STATE UNIVERSITY SET TO RESUME ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES ON 24TH October, 2022

Following the suspension of strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on 14th October, 2022, the Taraba State University Chapter complied and suspended their strike as well.
In a statement signed by Mr. Yakubu D. Fwa (Deputy Registrar Academic for registrar), the management inform the university community of the decision to commence academic activities with effect from 24th October, 2022.
It can be recalled that the first semester for 2021/2022 Academic Session which started on 3rd January, 2022 was interrupted on 14th February, 2022 (6 weeks) by the national strike. First C/A Test was slated to hold on the 14th February, 2022 before the strike interrupted.
Other new development on the university campus during the strike includes:
The newly elected principal officers assumed office with Prof. Sunday Paul Bako as the new Vice Chancellor.
Temporary structures of Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Arts now fenced and converted to students hostel.
Senate Building got a second gate for easy access to the building.
The Admin Block now School of Post Graduate Studies.
Third Batch and Final list of admission list was released.
Information available on our desk revealed that the interrupted first semester is scheduled to run from 24th Octorber, 2022 to 23rd December, 2022( 10 weeks).
SEMESTER CALENDAR

Furmigation of offices, departments, lecture theaters/halls, and open field is ongoing to make the university herbital to students and the entire University community. Students, lecturers and business men/women expresses their happiness for the joyfulnews.
