Dr. Danladi Yunana who is an Environmental Engineer and a Doctoral Researcher at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia.
As a commonwealth Scholar funded by the UK government, He earlier received an MSc Environmental Engineering from Imperial College London.
Dr. Danladi Yunana was conferred with the award on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, by the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
Dr. Danladi Yunana after receiving the award, took to his facebook hand to thank the tertiary institution for honoring him.
He Said:
My path to a PhD in Engineering was long but filled with grace. It all started as a son of a fisherman paddling canoe across the river Benue, Nigeria.
My parents had no formal education but place premium on education.
Today, I walked the stage at the University of New South Wales, Australia for the conferment of the highest educational qualification — PhD.
Like any other aspiration, the path was not straight. There were ups and downs. There were moments of excitement and discouragement.
I am grateful to all the people that supported me along this journey: family, supervisors and friends. Your contributions and sacrifices made this milestone possible.
To the young person out there with a dream, this milestone is dedicated to you. Your dreams are valid. Remain committed and give what it takes to make your dream a reality.
