Internal Strike Looming As Taraba State University First Semester Examination Schedule On 9th January May Not Hold

10 Months unpaid salary, TSU Exams Scheduled to start on Monday 9th January 2023 may not hold as ASUU resolved not to participate.

There are indications that the exams of Taraba State University scheduled for the 9th of January, 2023 for the first semester may not hold as the academic staff Union of the University ASUU, has resolved not to participate in the exercise.

Taraba News gathered that this resolution was reached at an emergency congress meeting of the Union held on Friday 6th January 2022.

Some of the lecturers who spoke with our correspondents on condition of anonymity said they resolve so particularly because their salary of 10 months is yet to be paid, saying some were paid in fractions and others not paid at all, though according to them they are going to write the national ASUU to inform them of their decision.

You will recall that the Visitor to the university and Taraba State Governor, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku had a public function declared that he will not pay the lecturers for the period they were on strike.
